Liebster Award! (9/10/17)

Hello! This is my first post on this blog as I was recently notified I have been given the liebster reward from Livvielove for Exiled to Lunar Lakes!

I'm so happy! In case anyone hasn't....go check out her wonderful stories! I'm going to use this chance to fangirl over one of them.

This is Where the Willow Walks . Livvielove goes crazy with the editing and the narrator, Adam, is absolutely wonderful. The main characters are...words can not explain how adorable they are together. Let's be honest here; not many people read the author/writer's notes. YOU.YES, YOU. You are a special human being. I dare say you like reading and are invested into one of my stories enough to read this or you're bored. I respect both. Skim through this and go read a wonderful story!
(Clears throat) Fangirled too much there. I could go on and on about the wonderful stories I have read but...I MUST FOCUS. Yes. Much writer. Much focus.
Let's get to number one, shall we?

1) What's your favorite story telling aspect of the Sims (or just favorite aspect)?

Hmm...I'm not exactly sure. I guess my favorite story telling aspect of the Sims is when the characters (sims) portray the emotions needed for the screenshot or just do cute things in general. It shows how much life goes into the game and makes me remember why I use the Sims as an outlet for my writing. A huge reason why I don't have to make a ton of poses for Exiled is because Zo will usually make the faces for me. It's hilarious and saves time.

2) What was the inspiration that made you start the story currently occupying your headspace?
The inspiration for Exiled was really simply me needing an outlet for writing that required no planning and slow moments. Zoraida was a character in the back of my mind for a while that didn't have a name, but already had certain characteristics. I placed her down in Lunar Lakes and got dystopian vibes from  it. I wanted a morally-grey character and things just sort of...came into place as so. I imagined her to be a lot more darker, I suppose? I'm really happy with how she turned out.

3) What's your favorite food?
Barbecue wings. Hands down.
4) If you could have any aspect added to the Sims game that isn't already there (via mods OR EA content) what would it be and why?
I would really like a fantasy word that is completely customizable. Something that would be easy for the player to edit. I would go crazy and probably lose my mind with it. Just something that's easy to use for those of us who can't manipulate CAW.

(Looks at long page of text.)

It's the first meme I found on my computer.
Sorry, not sorry.

5) How long have you played the Sims for? What's your favorite sims-related memory?

I have been playing for a little over two years. As for the favorite sims-related memory....

(Someone's computer lags because of the GIF in the distance)

My favorite sims memory was with my third generation heiress of my fourteen generation family, Amelia. You see, this was back in the day where I didn't know what killed vampires in the game and I hadn't discovered writing sims stories. I was a lurker on the forums and my mac air was heaving along, trying to play the Sims 3.
I got a mac air specifically to play the Sims 3.
(Pauses for a moment)
Right...back on topic.
You see, poor Amelia's mother Margaret had been a gardener. One day she had stayed out in the sun too long one day and had died on Amelia's birthday.
Of course I didn't think to reload the save.
Her whole generation was amazing.
Her first husband I had her turn him into a vampire and had him die in the sunlight because he was a gold digger...just as she brought home their first child. I felt terrible of course, but those were back in the days where I was only grasping the mechanics of the game.
The second husband was of course, turned into a vampire. He accused her of cheating right as she brought their first born son home...because of her first husband.
It was crazy and I had so much fun. That sim poured her heart and soul into those kids.

6) What's your favorite movie/book/song (one of each, or many if you can't decide like me!)? changes depending on the day.
Movies - Beautiful Creatures, Black Swan, Great Gatsby.
Books - Not so sure anymore. I would say Hunger Games, but I haven't read it in so long... O.o
Songs - Miss Jackson by Panic!at the Disco and Unstoppable by the Score.

7) What Simlit story are you currently all about, and please leave a link so we can read it too? (I just had to send this question along, such a good question to help build my SimStory library!)
(Stares nervously at the top of the page)

That teaches me to read all the questions before answering them.
Damn it.
In case any of you don't know it....
It's called Light the Way to Heaven. There is this character named James who is just the definition of a morally-grey character done right. His grandson, Niko is adorable. James's son is an asshole, but that's another subject.
I could rant about it for days.
The writer just gets you invested into her characters easily as you suddenly find yourself on this roller coaster of emotions.
8) What are you really excited for?
I'm really excited to get two of my stories launched; the Edhen Dath reboot and Cole's story. I have two others I want to launch but...I see those two coming first.
9) Where would you go if you could visit anywhere in the UNIVERSE?
I would go to Pluto and tell that in my mind, they are still a planet.

No one likes a sad Pluto.

10) Is there anything you wish you could go back in time and tell your younger self about? Why?

There are a lot of things I would like to say to my younger self but...I would like to keep this Liebster light-hearted.
Got way too emotional when I got this reward for Edhen Dath.
I guess I would tell her that things get better. You find people that have common interests. You can't please everyone that you meet and that's a good thing. It's okay to make mistakes. "Smart" is a broad term and does not mean that you have to be good at everything. I could go on for days but my real response would probably be...
You wanted us to have FIVE children? Really?
Who did you think they were going to come out of?
(I completely respect those who decide to have a large family, but that's not the life for me. I admire you for it though.)

11) This isn't really a question, but I'd like to ask for you to compliment yourself/your story here. So many people don't remember to compliment themselves for all the hard work they do!

Awwwwww....well, I have amazing characters. Petre's a gem and I adore him so far. He cracks me up.

My nominations are:
  1.  Phrycracker93 - Fading Quickly
  2. Gryffindork - The Dysfunkshinul Legacy
  3. ChazyBazzy - Berries of Insanity
  4. Blamsart - Maxwell's Bachelor Challenge
  5. FluffyMao - The Mayfields
(There are a lot more wonderful writers, I'm just tried while writing this and dealing with a nasty cold. Can't think off the top of my head. Gah.)

My questions are:
  1. What made you start writing your sims story?
  2. Sims 3 or Sims 4?
  3. What's your favorite color?
  4. If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would you change?
  5. Who's your personal favorite character in your story?
  6. Has writing your story impacted your life in any major way at all?
  7. What is your favorite game? (Not Sims related)
  8. What's your favorite food?
  9. What's your favorite thing about the Sims?
  10. Is there anything you would want to change in your story looking back at it now?
  11. Continuing the trend; Compliment yourself/your story here!
